![]() ![]() The hardest “enemy” in the game are these balls that you have to jump kick. You get more points when you punch an enemy, but you have to let them get closer. B punches, A kicks, up jumps and down crouches and that is it. This temple has five floors and these floors have bad guys and objects that want to hurt you as well as a boss at the end of each one. The gameplay on offer here is very simplistic, but that is part of the reason why I like it. It is a basic plot, but at the end of the day it is an early to mid-80s game so what do you expect? Problems Can Be Solved With Kicks & Punches! Anyway, Thomas is a badass and his girl has been kidnapped, and now he needs to make his way through the temple to save her. However, when you think of a Kung Fu Master, Thomas is not the name that pops into your head. Look, nothing against people called Thomas, actually I knew a few good dudes called Thomas. Actually, even as late as like 1991, I would pop in a little money in the arcade version of this! A Kung Fu Master Called Thomas? While this may be a basic game, it is one that is still a lot of fun. This was one of the first games to be released on the NES and it is also one of the first “beat-em-up” style games that would be perfected in the late 80s and early 90s. Today we are looking at the classic Kung Fu for the NES. ![]()
